Dr. Nate Brooks
Dr. Nate Brooks joined the faculty at Southeastern in 2023, having previously taught at Reformed Theological Seminary. He teaches a range of counseling courses, focusing on theological method, history, psychological theories, and student supervision during practicums. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Brooks is the Counseling Minister at Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC, and the founder and director of Courage Christian Counseling, a virtual practice specializing in counseling for survivors and perpetrators of abuse and trauma. He also consults and trains churches on these topics across various denominations. Dr. Brooks lives in Youngsville with his wife, Kate, a counselor specializing in chronic pain and illness, and their three children. In his free time, he enjoys distance running.
